Olympic Week in Schools - First Modern Olympic Games: 130 years later | 25 - 29 May 2026

ETHNOA offered to the Experimental Music High School of Pallini, a trip to the Olympic Museum of Lausanne (22-24/11/23)

The National Olympic Academy, in the framework of the educational programs of the Olympic Education, organized a nationwide student competition for the «Anthem of the National Olympic Academy», in which students from primary schools, secondary schools and high schools all over the country participated.

The aim of the student competition was to inspire the students to express their thoughts and feelings and create their own anthem for the National Olympic Academy.

Also, to sensitize them to the formation of attitudes, skills and values, which are derived from the Olympic Games and the Olympic tradition. The melody of the Anthem was composed by the talented Ms. Sofia Alexandrou.

The first prize was won by the Piraeus Music High School of Pallini, and the prize was a free visit to the Olympic Museum of Lausanne!

Six students (6) and three (3) accompanying teachers visited the Olympic Museum of Lausanne on 22-24/11/23, experiencing a unique experience of contact with the Olympic family and the Olympic idea.

Special thanks to the Olympic Museum of Lausanne and the ladies Julia Thum and Evelyn Pfeifer for their special and very warm hospitality.

Both the students and their teachers were delighted with their visit to the Museum.

We hope that the Anthem of NATION will be sung in all the widths and lengths of our country, since its messages do not only concern sport but are timeless and touch every human being who cares for the good of society.
