The 5th day of the Olympic Education programme, «The Olympic week on the road to Paris 2024» was completed with the presentation of the Thessaloniki Olympic Museum and the wonderful presentation on Olympic values and sports integrity that raised awareness among the students.
Mr Nikolaos Rigas, head of the educational programmes of the Thessaloniki Olympic Museum, presented through the Olympic Museum, the institution of the torch relay, the torches of the Olympic Games and the rich exhibits that adorn the Thessaloniki Olympic Museum, which are connected with great events and personalities of sport.
Then, the Secretary General of Sport, Olympic water polo champion and President of the National Integrity Platform, Mr. George Mavrotas, spoke inspiring the students about the values and benefits of sport, sports integrity and honest behaviour, motivating them to try to live daily according to these values.
This was followed by an online meeting with cycling champion George Bouglas, who spoke about the sport of cycling and shared with the students the secrets of this wonderful sport which all the schools loved.
Our Schools thanked us for the wonderful week spent and the knowledge gained and wished with very loud shouts, good luck to our athletes in Paris 2024.
