On the occasion of the Educational Program ”Olympic Education-4th Olympic Week in schools” which is implemented by the Hellenic Olympic Committee (HOC) and the National Olympic Academy (NOC) in cooperation with the Directorate of Physical Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture. the Department of Sports of the Municipality of West Lesvos organizes parallel activities. .
On Monday 22 April and Wednesday 24 April at the Municipal Stadium of Kalloni ”Kostas Kenteris” will be presented five Olympic Sports with the cooperation of physical education teachers of the schools that will participate and local clubs-clubs that practice the sports:Athletics, Tae Kwon Do, Fencing, Tennis - Table Tennis and Rowing.
On Friday, April 26, two Olympic champions will be present at the event, representatives of ETHNOA, which visits schools across the country, spreading the ideals and values of sport to students.
The Olympic champions of artistic swimming Eleftheria Ftouli and rowing Stergios Papachristos will present their sport, talk about the Olympic Games and the values of Olympism and answer questions.
