The celebration of the Olympic Day, at CHANTH

A new unique, beautiful, Olympic experience for the athletes and coaches of CHANTH

The 23rd of June is celebrated around the world as a World Olympic Day to commemorate the founding of the International Olympic Committee in 1894 and the day Athens was awarded the first modern railway Olympic Games. This year's Olympic Day was dedicated to physical activity through the motto Lets'Move.

The H.A.N.Th. participated in the celebration with dozens of athletes from all divisions in an event to inform about the values and ideals of Olympism. The Director of Sports of CHANTH Dimitris Karaiskos welcomed at the Sports Center «Mimis Tsikinas» the vice president of the HOC Stelios Angeloudis, who spoke to the children about the actions of the Olympic Movement and the traditions of Greek sport.

At the same time, Mr.Angeloudis underlined the contribution of CHANTH to sport and society as well as its commitment to the principles of the Olympic Ideal. Greetings were given by the chairman of the board of directors of CHANTH John Sossidis as well as the chairman of the team committee Nikos Logothetis. The event was attended by C. Director of CHANTH Vassilis Ioannou.

The children who participated were given commemorative bags by the HOC as well as diplomas for their participation in the celebration of the World Olympic Day.
