A group of students from Aretakeio participated in the three-day educational trip (13 schools from Greece and one school from Cyprus) to the facilities of the International Olympic Academy in Ancient Olympia, which ended with many sporting, environmental and cultural events. The students were accompanied by the teacher of FAS Maria Kiliafi and the Director of Primary Education Athanasios Katsibelis.

The schools that participated (along with 3,237 others) in the programme of the 3rd Olympic Week, were drawn to visit Ancient Olympia (with free transport, accommodation and food) from 2 to 4 June 2023 by the HOC and ETHNOA.
During their stay, the children met Olympic champions and distinguished athletes, chatted with them and participated in sports activities.

They also created the “green medal”, one side of which reflected Olympic sports and values while the other side conveyed environmental messages. The students' artistic creations were enjoyed by young and old alike when they were displayed by their teachers outside against the backdrop of the facility's stadium.
The children enjoyed the presentation of the birth of the International Fair Play Passport, a passport that, as it was said, crosses national borders as it touches the hearts of all people. The choreography designed for the passport, presented by the team of Artemis Ignatiou, the inspirational choreographer of the four previous Olympic Flame touching ceremonies, was captivating.

Apart from these activities that took place within the IOA's facilities, the schools visited the Stadium of Ancient Olympia, the adjacent archaeological site and Museum and the forest of Fologis, carrying out relevant environmental activities.
