Olympic Week in Schools - First Modern Olympic Games: 130 years later | 25 - 29 May 2026

Ancient Olympia, the crossroads of the Schools of Greece and Cyprus

The facilities of the International Olympic Academy in Ancient Olympia, from 2 to 4 June 2023, will be flooded by the young voices of thirteen (13) schools from Greece and one (1) school from Cyprus.

These schools, which participated (along with 3,237 others) in the 3from Olympic Week, were drawn to visit Ancient Olympia (with free transport, accommodation and meals) where the Hellenic Olympic Committee and the National Olympic Academy have prepared a multi-level educational, environmental, cultural and entertaining program.

The acquaintance of the children with Olympians and Champions, sports activities, environmental activities and visits to the Museums of the region will be a wonderful experience.

During this educational visit, the International Fair Play Passport will be presented, which will start a symbolic journey from the place where the Olympic Games were born, sending a strong message of symbolizing the Olympic values.

The event will take place at the monument of Pierre de Coubertin and the Stadium of the International Olympic Academy in Ancient Olympia, with flags from all over the world and will be presented through an exceptional choreography by Artemis Ignatiou, the inspirational choreographer of the Olympic Flame Lighting Ceremonies.

The island of Procida was the Italian Capital of Culture for the year 2022 where the presentation of the project «Procida: where sport is culture» was warmly welcomed.

Sociologist Prof. Gennaro Testa, creator of the «Fair play Passport» programme, in collaboration with the National Olympic Academy and the Olympic Academy of Italy (AONI), have activated the process of upgrading the Passport to an ’International Fair Play Passport«, which will start a symbolic journey from Ancient Olympia.

The «Fair Play Passport» will start from Procida and will arrive in Olympia, as a messenger and witness of values such as health, well-being, sociability, the ability to accept challenges, full of valuable educational tools and factors for personal and social development,

The «Fair Play Passport» spreads all the values in the new and unprecedented «International Fair Play Passport» with the implementation of the official ceremony that will take place in Olympia on June 3, with the support of Total Energies and Allianz and our Olympic champions Agis Kasoumis and Spyros Gianniotis.

Our events are strongly supported by Total Energies and Allianz whose executives enthusiastically and dedicatedly gave their best to make this special project a reality.

Total Energies, as a national sponsor of the International Fair Play Passport, will present interesting facts about sustainability and energy sources to the students and offer them symbolic gifts.

Allianz supports the promotion and promotion of International Fair Play, Passport in all countries and provides, for another year, insurance coverage for all participants in this three-day meeting.
