Rowing is leading the way!
The exchange between the Igoumenitsa Yacht Club and the German Association TIB Berlin was successfully completed in early November.
In addition to the sports program that was implemented, the two clubs were together in the parade of 28from October 2022, a day of remembrance for Greece.
In memory of the struggles and the assertion of Freedom. In memory and honour of the people who gave their lives for this struggle.
But the peoples who seek the prevalence of Peace and the creative coexistence of peoples for the future, invest in cooperation, in the knowledge of peoples, in the mitigation of differences, racism and prejudice.
This is the vision of the Igoumenitsa Sailing Club and it is actively implementing it with the program of the Hellenic-German Youth Foundation (EGIN) «We remember for tomorrow».
Thus, they welcomed their guests from Berlin, who are inspired by the same ideas as they are, in the framework of the exchange programme they are working on.
Giving the young people of both countries the opportunity, even on such a special day, to talk and plan for a promising future. To build creatively on the lessons of the past and to be the pillars for the spread of humanity.
