The online lottery for the participation of primary and secondary schools in the 2nd Olympic Week, which took place between 16-20 May 2022, was welcomed by the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, IOC Member and President of the European Olympic Committees Mr Spyros Capralos, who stressed that «Olympism is what drives sport», is a philosophy of life and congratulated all the participants for the successful Olympic Week.
Then the President of the International Olympic Academy, Mr Isidoros Kouvelos, took the floor and congratulated all the teachers and children who, through these actions, bring students closer to Olympic Education and the Olympic values that should become a way of life for all of us.
The President of the National Olympic Academy, Mr. George Alikakos, responsible for the programme, coordinated the draw that identified the 13 schools, one from each Regional Directorate of Greece, stressing how happy he feels that the schools will be hosted in Ancient Olympia.
