And the longest journey begins with one step. In the case of OVEP, the step in Greece is a big one, connecting the West with the East.
Starting from Corfu and ending in Komotini, the Olympic Values Education Programme (OVEP) of the International Olympic Committee, implemented by the Hellenic Olympic Committee and the National Olympic Academy, with the support of Olympic Solidarity, Ms. Silvia Dalotto Master Trainer of the IOC and the Director of NTHNOA Ms. Denise Panagopoulou, enables all teachers in the country to explore and implement new educational methodologies, fostering the development of 21st century skills.
The programme (OVEP) promotes, through the values of Olympism, 21st century skills which are skills for the modern man and new methodologies and ways of approaching knowledge through experience.
The beginning of the training started in June, from Vergina and Pella, two areas full of symbolism and continues from Corfu and Ioannina to Grevena, Kozani, Serres and Komotini with the participation of 260 teachers who become multipliers of the dissemination of the good practices of the Olympic Education Programme (OVEP) throughout the country for the benefit of the students of our country.
