During the 4th day of the Olympic and Paralympic Week, Dimitris Mougios, Olympic silver medallist and gold medallist in rowing, answered the students' questions. The questions concerned both the technique of one of the most difficult sports and aspects of the life of a champion.
She shared with the students the importance of personal transcendence and improvement that can be achieved by sticking to the rules, setting smaller goals, making a proper self-criticism.
The 20-year-old champion, Athanasia Lioumi, spoke about competitive climbing, a new Olympic sport included in the programme of the Olympic and Paralympic Games of Paris 2024. In her sport, patience and perseverance are essential ingredients. What is the secret of her success? Dedication to what we do, concentration and setting clear goals.
We have an appointment tomorrow with Thanasis Gavelas and Angelo Tsagarakis.
