The students of the 8th Primary School of Ioannina, and specifically 210 children from all classes, visited the facilities of the Ioannina Yacht Club, where they had the opportunity to meet the Olympic rowing champion, Yannis Tsilis. During the visit, the children chatted with the champion, learned about the sport of rowing and heard interesting stories from his career at the London (2012) and Rio de Janeiro (2016) Olympics.
The students were informed about the core Olympic values, such as Excellence, Friendship and Respect, and enthusiastically participated in sport-related activities.
The action took place in the context of the celebrations of the Panhellenic Day of School Sports.
