Olympic Week in Schools - First Modern Olympic Games: 130 years later | 25 - 29 May 2026

On the way to 2024! 1st Greek-French Olympic Week

The French Institute of Greece, the French Embassy, the Hellenic Olympic Academy and the Hellenic Olympic Committee in collaboration with the French Institute of Thessaloniki organized the 1st Olympic Week, to promote school initiatives in Greece and the Normandy region (Calvados), where the pilot project is being developed in order to raise the awareness among primary and secondary school students about the values of Olympism and Francophony and to help them discover the 2024 Paris Olympics. This is the program "Let us all share the passion of the Games".

Daily publications of inspirational educational initiatives in French by teachers all over Greece and Normandy and the presentation of innovative and unifying projects: The 2004 generation in Greece on the way to the 2024 Paris Olympics, Long live Rugb(y)ilingue, Let us all share the passion of the Games, The Olympic and Paralympic Week in France with the schools of Normandy.

Virtual meetings

Greek and French high-level athletes and Olympic online meetings "Portraits and meetings" through Zoom Webinars with classes of French and Greek students with French and Greek athletes of Olympic sports. The meetings are bilingual: Greek and French.

Bilingual pedagogical markets

The "bilingual pedagogical markets" are aimed at French teachers, and are open to both physical education teachers and primary school teachers. These good practice exchange training workshops allow participants to discover ways to connect Olympism with the French language in relation to educational practices in France and Greece.
