With great success was completed at the beginning of January (02.01.2024 to 07.01.2024) the sports exchange of Panathinaikos Fencing Club with the German Hessischer Fechterverband, through the subsidized program of the Hellenic-German Youth Foundation (EGIN) and the cooperation of the National Olympic Academy (NOCA), as the central body.
In the Main area in Frankfurt, 30 young people, together with their adult chaperones and with their enthusiasm for the sport of fencing in common, met.
The weekly programme combined joint activities of the young people with games, train trips and hikes to nearby destinations, visits to traditional German inns/restaurants, a tour of the historic city of Frankfurt and of course daily training in his favourite sport Fencing.
During these joint activities, acquaintanceships were developed between the young people which developed into friendships. Expectations for the success of the programme were far exceeded and we are already planning the visit of our young friends to Greece.
