Olympic Week in Schools - First Modern Olympic Games: 130 years later | 25 - 29 May 2026

Pan-Hellenic School Cycling Race 2025 «I run for HERE»

The National Olympic Academy of Greece, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, the Hellenic Olympic Committee and the European program Be Active Hellas, organizes for the third consecutive year the Panhellenic School Cycling Race, in the framework of the European Week of Sport (23-30 September 2025).

Following the highly successful actions of previous years, «I'm running for EY» (2023) and «I am running for SYN» (2024), this year's event has as its central slogan «I run for HERE», highlighting the most topical and universal message of our time.

Schools of all levels of education (kindergartens, primary schools, primary schools, secondary schools and high schools) from every corner of Greece participate in the race. Students, together with their teachers, are invited to run a symbolic route in safe spaces - such as the schoolyard, the gym or a nearby grove - proving that physical activity, cooperation and collectivity can send powerful messages.

The aim of this year's race is to remind everyone that PEACE is a fundamental human right and a basic condition for the development and prosperity of societies. The Olympic Values, respect, friendship, excellence, can flourish in an environment where everyone has the opportunity to participate equally and harmoniously.

The children are running this year to send the loudest message:
PEACE is the foundation of all virtue and the most precious good for all the peoples of the world.
