Following the effort of the Olympic rowing champion Nikos Skiathitis, who rowed the distance of 52 nautical miles from Volos to Skopelos, the Municipality of Skopelos in cooperation with the National Olympic Academy and the Skopelos Yacht Club, organized a lecture on «Sport and Olympism in our lives».
The Olympic champions of rowing Nikos Skiathitis and cycling Dimitris Georgalis, on the occasion of the celebration of the Panhellenic Day of School Sports, spoke at the Schools of Skopelos presenting their sports and gave their messages about the values that Olympism stands for.
We thank the Municipality of Skopelos and our Olympians for supporting such actions that benefit our youth.
