On Tuesday, February 18, 2026, Olympic basketball champion Polly Saregou, representing the National Olympic Academy, visited the 2nd Gymnasium of N. Michaniona, on the occasion of the Panhellenic Fan Day 2026.
The champion shared valuable experiences from her athletic career, the challenges she faced, but also the principles that sport stands for, such as teamwork, responsibility, respect for diversity and consistency. Through vivid examples, she stressed the importance of proper fan behaviour, acceptance of diversity and supporting the team with ethics and dignity.
The students actively participated in the discussion, asked questions and were inspired by the message that sport expresses values, ethics and attitude, beyond victories and medals.
