The educational program "Olympic Education – Olympic Week in Schools" was approved by the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs and in Spring 2021 it will be implemented in schools throughout Greece.
The conduct of the educational program was a proposal of the Hellenic Olympic Committee and the Hellenic Olympic Academy and will be implemented for one week in March and April in all schools by Olympians and Champions, aiming at the cultivation, development and spreading of Olympic education to the new generation of Greece.

For the implementation of the educational program «Olympic Education - Olympic Week in schools» the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee Spyros Capralos said: «We are particularly happy at the Hellenic Olympic Committee because Olympic education is returning to schools in a significant year, because it is happening a few months before the Tokyo Olympic Games. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the Olympic Games and understand the importance of applying the Olympic values, even in everyday life. We would like to thank the leadership of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, Minister Niki Kerameos and Deputy Minister Sophia Zacharaki, who accepted our proposal, but also for the fact that from the very first moment they took office they have stood by the EOC and supported the dissemination of Olympic Education’.
The President of the HOA and HOC member Mr. Giorgos Alikakos, who met with Mr. Spyros Capralos, HOC President and IOC Member and the HOC Secretary General Mr. Manolis Kolympadis, said: "We join forces inspiring our youth because Olympism and sport is a philosophy of life. We thank the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs Mrs. Niki Kerameos and the Deputy Minister Mrs. Sofia Zacharaki for their assistance in the restoration of Olympic Education in schools".
