Olympic Week in Schools - First Modern Olympic Games: 130 years later | 25 - 29 May 2026

THE NTHN.O.A. AT THE 33rd MUNICIPAL SCHOOL OF THESSALONIK - CHILD'S SHOOL

ETHNOA with the Olympic basketball champion Poly Sarregos, started its visits from the 33rd Primary School of Thessaloniki «Children's Asylum», launching the new year with an experience that combined knowledge, inspiration and action.

It is our duty to pass on to the younger generations the values that sport and especially the Olympic Spirit stands for: effort, solidarity, friendship, equality and respect.

During our visit, through a presentation full of pictures and stories, the children learned not only about the Olympic values, but also how these values can be applied in their daily lives, at school, in their families and in their friendships.

Then theory became practice. With great joy and enthusiasm, we organised a series of activities and exercises in the schoolyard that aimed to highlight the value of cooperation and fair play. Through fun games, the students learned how to support each other, work as a team and recognise that winning is not only a matter of results, but first and foremost a matter of honest effort.

The liveliness and participation of our children filled us with optimism and strength. It is touching to see their eyes light up with enthusiasm and to see how these values can be a guide in their lives.

We would like to thank the school's teaching staff for their excellent welcome and cooperation, as well as the students for their warm participation. This visit was not only a start of the new year, but also a reminder that, through small actions, we can all be agents of a better one.
