Greek - German Study Visit

ETHNOA is the first central body in Greece to coordinate Greek-German sports exchanges with the support of the Greek-German Youth Foundation (EGIN).Since 2018, 138 exchanges in various sports have been coordinated.

These exchanges are subsidized by the (EAGIN) and through joint actions, the participants strengthen the values of friendship, cooperation and cultural exchange.

German youth organisations from German federal states and representatives of the DSJ came to Athens to meet with Greek representatives, to get to know better the sports model of our country, to discuss the differences between the two countries and to coordinate future exchanges.

The meetings were attended by the Olympic water polo champion Voula Kozoboli, member of the HOC, President of the Olympians and the Athletes' Committee, who presented to the German institutions the operation and programmes of the Hellenic Olympic Committee.

Also, the Olympic rowing champion Vassilis Polymeros, the Olympic handball champions Alexis Albanos, Giorgos Chalkidis, Leonidas Karaiskos and Thomas Karampetsios, exchanged views with the German representatives on sports issues, discussed the strengthening of the institution of exchanges and how to build bridges of friendship between the young people of the two countries.

The German partners visited the Olympic Tennis Centre in OAKA, the sports facilities of the Municipality of Vrilissia and the Doukas Schools, the Panathenaic Stadium and the Athens Olympic Museum.
