The Olympic rowing champion Yannis Tsilis visited the 3rd Primary School of Ioannina «Maroutsio», in the framework of educational and sporting activities of the National Olympic Academy, aiming at the dissemination of Olympic values and the cultivation of healthy standards, with respect and acceptance of diversity.
The students of the 6th grade welcomed, in a very touching moment, the Olympic champion and graduate of the 3rd Primary School of Ioannina and had the opportunity to discuss and interact with him. The champion, who won 4th place at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the coxless quad event and 8th place at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the same event, spoke about his experience and his journey to the championship, as well as what he has gained through this journey.
Through the discussion with the distinguished athlete, the students were inspired and sensitized to the values of effort, perseverance and fair play.
