On Tuesday 25 November 2025, students from the 17th High School of Athens visited the building of the Hellenic Olympic Committee.
The students and their accompanying teachers were given a guided tour of the EOE premises and were informed about the objectives and the work of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the National Olympic Academy and the International Olympic Academy. Then they watched videos and images about the Winter Olympic Games and the Lighting Ceremony of the Olympic Flame in Ancient Olympia. They were also informed about the uninterrupted presence of the Greek element in the Olympic Games.
This was followed by a discussion with the Olympic champion Alexandros Albanos (handball) and the champions Sophia Simantiri (volleyball) and Alexandros Yakupovich (tennis), partners of ETHNOA, who presented to the children the values of the Olympic movement - Respect, Friendship and Excellence - and how they are practically applied in sport and in everyday life.
