Values, sport and everyday life - Polly Sarregou at the 1st High School of Kalamaria

On Wednesday 29 April, Olympic basketball champion Polly Saregou visited the 1st Gymnasium of Kalamaria in Thessaloniki and discussed with the students the importance of values in everyday life.

The discussion focused on the principles that govern our behaviour at school, in human relations and in society at large, as well as on the values that sport fosters.

Through an open dialogue, students actively participated, expressed concerns and shared experiences from their everyday life, highlighting the connection between values and practice.

At the same time, reference was made to the benefits of sport and the challenges that accompany it, such as stress and pressure, as well as the ways to manage them through preparation, team support and mental resilience.

The meeting was a creative experience of exchanging views, highlighting the importance of cultivating values through dialogue and experiential learning.
