For the 13th year, the highly successful educational programme «I love sports-Kids’ athletics», implemented by the Hellenic Olympic Committee (HOC) in cooperation with the National Olympic Academy (NOC), the Ministry of Education & Religious Affairs and the Ministry of National Defence for the students of primary education all over the country, started at the Panathinaiko Stadium.
The 109th Primary School of Athens «Odysseas Elytis» was the first to open the curtain of this year's school year and the children were very pleased with the unique experience they had in this magical place.
«I Love Sports - Kids’ Athletics» has been implemented since 2010 and aims to bring primary school students closer to sports and fair play through experiential learning. At the same time, children learn the history of the emblematic Panathenaic Stadium, where the Modern Olympic Games were revived and visit the room with the torches and posters of the Olympic Games and get to know Greek Olympic champions and distinguished athletes.
A total of two hundred and thirty thousand nine hundred and eighty (230,980) students from two thousand eight hundred and thirty-one (2,831) schools from all over Greece have attended the programme since 2010, which is one of the most popular and popular programmes of the educational community and is conducted with the support of the Pavlos & Alexandra Kanellopoulou Foundation.

On Friday 18/11 we visited the Panathenaic Stadium!!!! It was a sunny day full of history, new friends and sports!!!! We took part in the program «I love sports» - «Kids’ Athletics» which is implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs and SEGAS and is offered free of charge. Together with our friends from the 9th Primary School of Nea Ionia we got to know the Kallimarmaro Stadium and its history, discovered its hidden secrets and enjoyed sports with our soul!!!!
