With respect to the strength of the mother of a child with disabilities, the organization 4Amea, led by the actress Nena Chronopoulou and the veteran international football player Tasos Mitropoulos, organized in Ilioupolis, at the Open Municipal Theatre «Mikis Theodorakis», the 4th Celebration of the Mother of a Child with Disabilities, on 14 May 2026.
The love, daily contribution and unceasing struggle of every mother of a child with a disability are a source of inspiration for all of us and deserve not only recognition and support, but also a contribution to changing social stereotypes.
The event was attended by the Olympic champion Georgia Ellinakis, the president of the Association of Greek Olympians Voula Zygouri, the Olympic champions Maria Louisa Vryoni and George Tzelilis, representing the Athena, the world champion Maria Christoforidou, the European champion Maria Karpathaki and the coach George Pomanski.
The presence of all gave special value to a day dedicated to mothers of children with disabilities.
