On May 5, the National Olympic Academy, with the assistance of the Armed Forces Sports Council (ASAED), held the educational sports action «Playing for Balance» at the nursery of the 112 Battle Wing in Elefsina.
The programme included a variety of games of fundamental motor skills, movement, handling and balance. The children were also introduced, through play, to the sport of weightlifting.
The action was attended by the distinguished athletes and officers of the Air Force, Maria Christoforidou, world champion in weightlifting, and Maria Louisa Vryoni, Olympic wrestling champion.
