Visit of the National Olympic Academy of Greece to the 76th Primary School of Athens

On Tuesday 28 April 2026, at the invitation of the Principal of the 76th Primary School of Athens, Stavroula Hamondrakas, an educational activity was held with the participation of Olympic champions and distinguished athletes, representing the National Olympic Academy of Greece (NOC).

The school was visited by the Olympic rowing champion Nikos Skiathitis, the Olympic softball champion Ioanna Bouziou, the World Champion in kickboxing Natasha Pontika and the distinguished volleyball athlete Sofia Simantiri.

The athletes chatted with the students, shared personal experiences and moments from their athletic career and were happy to answer the children's questions in a warm and interactive atmosphere. The activity was well organized by the distinguished swimming athlete Constantina Florou.

Particularly important was the presence of the school's psychologist, Mary Verrou, who through short but meaningful interventions offered thought and inspiration to students and teachers.

During the action, the athletes presented their sports and conveyed to the children their values, knowledge and love for sport, encouraging them to adopt a healthy lifestyle, believe in themselves and cultivate self-confidence and cooperation through sport.

The meeting was concluded in an emotional atmosphere, with the students and the school offering gifts, flowers and expressing their love for the invited athletes.
