Sonja Thiel and Massimo Cannarozzo from the Deutsche Sportjugend im Deutschen Olympischen Sportbund e.V. visited Athens in the framework of the cooperation between the Greek-German athlete exchange with the National Olympic Academy of Greece (ETHNOA).
During the first day of the visit, they visited the offices of ETHNOA, where a constructive discussion took place on Greek-German exchanges, the expansion of cooperation and the exchange of good practices. The meeting was attended by the President of ETHNOA and two-time Olympic champion Demosthenes Tabakos, the head of educational programmes of ETHNOA and deputy professor of SEFAA/ECPA Olivia Dontis, as well as the distinguished rhythmic gymnast and coordinator of the Greek-German exchanges Christina Kaltsa. Afterwards, the guests were guided to the Olympic Museum of Athens.
The next day, the delegation visited the Panathenaic Stadium, where it was welcomed by a team of ETHNOA along with Olympic champions and distinguished athletes. There they attended the educational sports program «I love sports - Kid's Sports», talked with the trainers-athletes and toured the historical archaeological site.
The visit underlined the importance of international cooperation in sport and the promotion of unity through joint actions and exchange of experiences.
