The National Olympic Academy (NOCA) participated in the Student Festival of Ecological Schools, organized by the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature (SCPF) on Friday 3 April 2026, at Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens.
More than 260 schools from all over Greece took part in the environmental education celebration and, during the day, students, teachers and parents visited the N.O.A. stand, where they met the athletes Christina Zachariadou (tennis), Christina Kaltsa (rhythmic gymnastics), Sophia Simantiri (volleyball) and Anna Charalambidou (water polo).
During the event there was a constant flow of visitors, while the athletes also visited the school stands, where students and teachers presented their activities and participated in short discussions and questionnaires. Through this process, the opportunity was given to inform about the work and actions of the NTHOA, as well as to guide those interested in further communication and cooperation with their schools.
At the stand, discussions were held with the children about the sports, the experiences of the athletes and the future activities of the Academy, such as the Olympic Week. In addition, students from older classes had the opportunity to talk to the athletes and ask them questions in short, informal interviews. Students exchanged symbolic gifts such as small plants, bookmarks and cards, while the NOC offered commemorative badges.
Finally, a group of students from Agrinio visited the booth of the NPHOA and offered as a gift the fairy tale «A little dewdrop travels in our world», which was created by the students of the 2nd grade of the 4th Primary School of Agrinio, accompanied by a dedication to the NPHOA.
