ETHNOA in Lamia for the Olympic Torch Relay

On the occasion of the reception of the Olympic Flame in Lamia, on Monday 1 December 2025, an educational activity was held at the 10th Primary School and the 5th High School of Lamia, with the participation of distinguished athletes and Olympic champions.

The Olympic rowing champion Nikos Skiathitis, the Olympic handball champion Alexandros Albanos and the tennis champion Christina Zachariadou participated in the action. The athletes shared with the students personal experiences from their journey in sport, highlighting through examples the values that accompany it. At the same time, they stressed the importance of children's contact with sport as an experience that accompanies them outside of school.

The action took place in the presence of the Deputy Mayor of Sport of the Municipality of Lamia and the athletes were awarded plaques for their participation and contribution to the educational initiative.

The action was part of the events that accompanied the passage of the Olympic Flame and highlighted the educational and social character of the Torch Relay, emphasizing the importance of spreading the values of Olympism to the new generation.
