Representing the National Olympic Academy of Greece, Dimitris Georgalis, 4th and 6th Olympic champion in cycling (Sydney 2000), and Dimitris Avramis, 5th Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling (Athens 2004), visited the 1st and 2nd Primary School of Mouzaki, as part of the educational - sporting activities of ETHNOA that took place in places where the Olympic Flame passed through Greece, and until the Handover Ceremony for the Winter Olympics Milano Cortina 2026.
In a day with special symbolism, the Olympic champions from Trikala met with the students and talked about their personal journeys, while each of them referred to the history, techniques and regulations of their sport. The noble nature of the sport of wrestling was emphasized, while the Olympians suggested that they themselves should organize a cycling action with the participation of the students.
The action took place on the occasion of the passage and the Olympic Flame Reception Ceremony in Mouzaki, highlighting the importance of similar educational - sports initiatives for the students of the province.
