On Wednesday, October 15th, the 4th Primary School of Nea Ionia Volos was visited by the Olympic medalists partners of ETHNOA, Eleftheria Ftouli (artistic swimming) and Stergios Papachristos (rowing).
They presented their sports with audiovisual material, videos of trainings and games and explained to the students the basics of their sports. They answered numerous questions about technique, safety and preparation for competitions.
They also gave practical advice on how an athlete can combine school and sport, presented simple time management strategies and stressed the importance of adequate rest. They also highlighted the role of support from coaches and family in the development and success of young athletes.
