The Erasmus+ project «Olympic education: from Ancient Olympia to European practices» started with the participation of 52 teachers and the cooperation of the Lithuanian Olympic Committee and the Olympic Academies of Estonia and Greece. The teachers were welcomed to the Olympic Museum of Athens by the President of ETHNOA, Mr. George Alikakos.
The teachers of the 3 countries will have the opportunity to learn examples of Education through Sport, to be introduced to the history of the ancient Olympic movement and to analyse the cultural concepts of Olympism.
In addition, they will be given the opportunity to share best practices in education through sport from 3 European countries and analyse opportunities for cooperation between the youth work, education and sport sectors.
