Participation of ETHNOA in the European Day of School Sport - 8η Panhellenic School Sports Day at the School of Educational Renaissance
On the occasion of the European Day of School Sport and in the framework of the 8th European School Sport Dayfrom Panhellenic School Sports Day established by the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs in recognition of the value of sport and sport in general, both in terms of health and well-being and as an enjoyable activity and a valuable experience of socialisation and teamwork, the Educational Renaissance commemorated this day with the slogan «The School in Motion: The School in Motion» with the support of National Olympic Academy.
On Friday 24 September 2021, students from the Primary, Secondary and High School of our school had the opportunity to participate in educational activities and sports activities and to experience a special day full of games, sports and gymnastics.
In addition, with the support of National Olympic Academy the students of the Educational Renaissance had the opportunity to discuss online from their classrooms, with International Handball Athlete Alexandros Albanos, with the International Basketball Player Panagiotis Vassilopoulos, with the World Cycling Champion Christos Vollikakis, with the Athlete of the National Wheelchair Fencing Team Adamantia Zachariadis, with the Olympic Judo athlete Maria Karagiannopoulou, with the Paralympic Swimming Champion Yannis Kostakis, with the Paralympian - Fencing Champion with Wheelchair Kelly Loufaki, with the Weightlifting Champion George Tzelilis and with the Athlete and Member of the National Water Polo Team Maria Tsouri.
The top athletes were a source of inspiration for all the students of the Educational Renaissance who came into direct contact with Olympic and Paralympic Sports, discussed with them the importance of effort, goal, distinction, competition and success.
