Polly Saregou, Olympic champion and basketball champion, who took 7th place in the 2004 Athens Olympics, visited the 6th Gymnasium of Kalamaria as a representative of the National Olympic Academy, in the framework of the 12th Panhellenic Day of School Sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, the students participated in group activities and interactive games, through which the values of Olympism were approached in a simple and experiential way: respect, excellence and friendship. Through short exercises and discussions, students focused on the importance of cooperation, effort and self-discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polly Sarregou spoke openly about her own journey in sports, mentioning moments that defined her career. Without idealizing, she highlighted how dedication and consistency can become a tool of life, on and off the field. Her message was not focused on excellence, but on how sport can shape characters with empathy and social responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
