The program \u201dI LIVE THE OLYMPIC VALUES\u201d continued at the facilities of the HOC and IOA in Ancient Olympia .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This programme is a co-organization of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports (MFA), the Hellenic Olympic Committee (HOC), the International Olympic Academy (IOA) and the National Olympic Academy (NAO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Olympic Academy is responsible for the responsibility, the content, the guidance and the implementation of the educational programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The schools from Aitoloakarnania had their turn to visit Ancient Olympia from 14 to 16 March 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students from the 1st School of Messolonghi, the Artistic High School of Messolonghi, the 1st High School of Agrinio and the High School of Agios Konstantinos, had this great opportunity to meet and discuss with our Olympic champion in pole vault, Kostas Filippidis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Olympic champion, after presenting his sport, shared with the students the feelings and experiences he had during his great athletic career! Immediately afterwards, questions from the audience gave rise to a high-level dialogue where the young people realized the importance of the Olympic values. Particular emphasis was placed on continually striving to improve ourselves, either mentally or physically, and creating an attitude in life where our goals are achievable when our efforts are based on faith and planning. The students were enthusiastic about the meeting and wrote great essays about its content in their presentations on the last day of the training program.

In addition to visits to the archaeological site and the Museum of Ancient Olympia, they participated in many sports activities, but also in experiential training workshops designed by the educational team of the National Olympic Academy that motivated them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the framework of 21st century skills, the main objective of the programme is the cooperation between students from different schools, the discussion and exchange of views, the extraction of conclusions and proposals on various topics related to sport and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the program \u00abI live the Olympic Values\u00bb we continue to inspire the youth of our country to live every day according to the Olympic Values, since the purpose of every human being is social progress through the improvement of our everyday life, which is achieved through the positive attitude of all of us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
