Started in the facilities of the EOE and IOA in Ancient Olympia the program \u201dI live the Olympic values\u201d by the Ministry of education and sport, the EOE, the IOA and the Athena<\/p>\n\n\n\n

for high schools all over the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the opening of the event, the President of ETHNOA and member of the HOC Mr. George Alikakos, Mr. Makis Asimakopoulos on behalf of the President of the IOA Mr. Isidoros Kouvelos and Mr. Panagiotis Androutsopoulos (School Councillor of Ilia), on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsible for the Olympic Education programme is the director of ETHNOA, Ms Denise Panagopoulou and the consultant Mr Spyros Avgoustis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first speaker was Dr. Dionysis Gangas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11 schools from Ilia participate in the three-day event (11-13 March).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participating schools:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1st, 2nd, 3rd high school of Amalia, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, 4th high school of Pyrgos, Vasilaki high school, Zacharo high school, Neochori high school, Music high school of Vartholomiou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first day started with an introduction to Olympism. The Olympic rowing champion Dimitris Mougios, introduced the students of the schools of Ilia to the secrets of rowing, talked to them about the Olympic values, sports integrity and proper sports behavior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students of all schools had the pleasure of participating in sports activities and then working on alternative scenarios for respecting the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It really was a great start!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
