The students of the Educational Renaissance celebrated the European Day of School Sports - 10\u03b7<\/sup> Panhellenic School Sports Day with the support of the \u2018\u2019BeActive\u2019\u2019 Programme and the National Olympic Academy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the slogan \u00abMovement gives Life\u00bb<\/strong> students from the Primary School of the Educational Renaissance celebrated the European Day of School Sport - 10<\/strong>\u03b7<\/strong><\/sup> Panhellenic Day<\/strong> established by the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sport<\/strong>. With the support of General Secretariat for Sport<\/strong> and the Programme \u2018\u2019<\/strong>Be<\/strong>Active<\/strong>\u2019\u2019<\/strong> and the National Olympic Academy<\/strong> children experienced a day of sport, play and joy on Wednesday 4 October 2023 and participated in sports activities and rich experiential educational activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sports school event honored with the presence of the Secretary General of Sport and Chairman of the \u2018\u2019<\/strong>Be<\/strong>Active<\/strong>\u2019\u2019 Mr. George Mavrotas<\/strong>. Mr C. G.G. Mavrotas toured the sports facilities and the sports games that had been organized, took the opportunity to participate in sports activities and gave his own message to the students of the Primary School about the value of sports and sports, both in terms of health and well-being and as a pleasant activity and a valuable experience of socialization and teamwork. Mr. Dimitris Antonopoulos presented an Honorary Plaque to the Secretary General for the contribution of the Programme \u2018\u2019<\/strong>Be<\/strong>Active<\/strong>\u2019\u2019 and the promotion of school sport.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the support of National Olympic Academy<\/strong> the students had the pleasure to welcome at the school's sports facilities Him<\/strong> Olympic champion of Weightlifting<\/strong> George Tzelilis<\/strong>, their<\/strong> Olympians of Handball<\/strong> Alexander Albanos<\/strong> and George Chalkidis<\/strong>, the Olympic Champions of Rowing Nikos Skiathitis and Yannis Tsilis<\/strong>, the Olympic champion of <\/strong>Softball<\/strong> Ioanna Bouzios, the Paralympic Swimming Champion<\/strong> John Kostakis<\/strong>, the World Champion of Sailing Angelos Lemanis, the World Champion of <\/strong>Laser<\/strong>Run<\/strong> Penelope Nika, the Champion of Rowing Stergios Papachristos, the Champions of Tennis<\/strong> Christina Zachariadou, Denise Panagopoulou<\/strong> \u03ba\u03b1\u03b9<\/strong> Alexandros Yakupovich, the Champion of Water Polo<\/strong> Anna Charalambidou<\/strong>, the Champion of Rhythmic Gymnastics Christina Kaltsa, the Champion of Volleyball<\/strong> Sophia Simantiri and the Coaches of <\/strong>Rugby<\/strong> Stavros Messini<\/strong> and Jean<\/strong>Christophe<\/strong>There is<\/strong>But<\/strong>Goor<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the partners of the National Olympic Academy Spyros Augustis<\/strong> and the representative of the organization of the Olympic Games \u00abPARIS 2024<\/strong>\u00bb Salome<\/strong>Allain<\/strong> presented the \u00abNew Sports\u00bb <\/strong>that we will see in Paris, but also the interesting results of a game on the Olympic Games, to which the students answered the questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the event, teachers, Physical Education teachers and students from the 5th and 6th grade gathered in the Theatre, honored the athletes who visited our School and awarded them with Honorary Plaques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top athletes were a source of inspiration for the students of the Educational Renaissance, who came into contact with Olympic and Paralympic Sports, and discussed with them the importance of effort, goal, distinction, competition and success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
