On the occasion of the European Week of Sport and in the context of the  9from<\/sup><\/strong> Panhellenic School Sports Day<\/strong> established by the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs<\/strong> in recognition of the value of sport and sport in general, both in terms of health and well-being and as an enjoyable activity and a valuable experience of socialisation and teamwork, the Educational Renaissance<\/strong> commemorated this day with the slogan \u00abEXERCISE every day, HEALTH a LIFE<\/strong>\u00bb with the support of National Olympic Academy<\/strong> and next to top Olympians, Paralympians and Champions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Tuesday 4 October 2022, students from the Primary School participated in experiential educational activities and sports activities and experienced a special day full of games, sports, gymnastics and inspiration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the support of National Olympic Academy<\/strong> the students of the Educational Renaissance welcomed the Olympic Weightlifting Champion at the sports facilities and in the halls of the School George Tzelilis<\/strong>, the Olympic champion of handball George Chalkidis<\/strong>, the Paralympian Dimitra Korokida<\/strong>, the Paralympic swimmer John Kostakis<\/strong>, the World Champion of Sailing Angelo Lemanis<\/strong>, the champion of golf Anthony Plati<\/strong>, the tennis champions Denise Panagopoulou<\/strong>, Christina Zachariadou<\/strong>, Alexander Yakupovich<\/strong>, the water polo champion Anna Charalambidou<\/strong>, the champion of rhythmic gymnastics Christina Kaltsa, the volleyball champion Sophia Simantiri<\/strong> and the Rugby Athlete  Antonis Kyousopoulos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top athletes were a source of inspiration for the students of the Educational Renaissance who came into contact with Olympic and Paralympic Sports, discussed with them the importance of effort, goal, distinction, competition and success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the event, teachers and students from the 5th and 6th grade gathered at the Theatre, thanked ETHNOA, honoured the athletes who visited our School and presented them with Plaques of Honour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For their part, the athletes thanked the students and teachers for inviting them to the School Sports Day events, stressing the value of sport, perseverance, goal, teamwork and effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
