HOA’s successful “Olympic Workshop” at the “Summer School for Foreign Greeks” at the Peloponnese University continues until August 8, 2015 organized by the School of Humanities & Cultural Studies of the Peloponessean University in cooperation with the Panmessinian Federation of USA & Canada.

The Professor of the Department of Literature of the University of Peloponnese & Responsible for the “Summer School for Foreign Greeks” Mrs Eleni Volonaki and the coordinator Responsible for the “Olympic Workshop” Mrs. Kelly Makropoulou, welcomed 50 students with Greek origin from all over the world, Canada, USA, Russia and Europe.

All students received HOA’s educational book entitled: “Olympic Values! From Olympia … to the world! A magical journey! “and begun their education on the Ancient Olympic History.

The book’s education is under the guidance of HOA’s director Mrs. Ileana Klokoni. Students are separated by age and the education is based on the Greek language and the Greek culture.

Student’s response in participating at the “Olympic Workshop” and their need to learn our Olympic History and the Olympic Ideals, is impressive.

Eva Christodoulou, bronze Olympic Medalist in Rhythmic Gymnastics visited the students, and discussed with them about Kotinos- the ancient Greek symbol of victory. She was welcomed with great enthusiasm since she was the first Olympian to meet.

Hellenic Olympic Academy wishes to the students to travel the Olympic Ideals all over the World and to adopt them in their everyday life!
